Trojan, a company that provides etail sales and fulfilment services to some of the largest companies in the world, has launched a new offering designed to help a range of businesses to grow and expand their online offering.
The company’s new ‘Fulfilled by Trojan (FBT)’ service mirrors a similar offering by Amazon, whereby a seller keeps an item in Amazon’s warehouses and lets Amazon ship and pack it. However, it has the advantage of being able to sell items across multiple selling channels without any potential increased costs for this service.
Trojan already operates from its 180,000 sq. ft. purpose-built facility based in Swansea as a 4PL (fourth-party logistics) provider, taking on a wide range of responsibilities to run their customers’ complete supply chain functions in a cost-effective and highly controlled way.
Via the new service, Trojan provides a pick and pack service, warehouse storage and management, and a fully rounded logistics service. This can be particularly useful for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which often don’t have the infrastructure to manage the many elements of running an internet retail platform.
The company also has direct integration with several ecommerce platforms, marketplaces and daily deal sites, offering organisations the ability to increase their activity in these areas or expand into these ever growing online sales channels.
Clive Murphy, managing director of Trojan, said: “There is a clear gap in the market for a service that helps businesses of all sizes to significantly scale or start their internet sales journey. Marketplaces like eBay and Amazon continue to increase their foothold within ecommerce. Companies not selling multichannel are missing out on significant online sales.
“Many businesses often have problems with running out of space or time to manage their customer service and can’t expand to take their business forward as they spend all their time working in their business rather than working on it. Using our services can often be cost neutral for smaller online businesses, as we can save them costs in areas such as postage, distribution and logistics, since we already have this infrastructure in place as a 4PL provider.”
