Trojan’s managing director, Clive Murphy, attended the recent IMHX event held in Birmingham earlier this month (13-16 September 2016).
IMHX is the largest event for the UK’s logistics industry. More than 20,000 logistics and supply chain professionals were at the event, enabling them to network, evaluate advanced technologies, discover industry solutions and discuss ways to increase efficiencies within supply chain processes.
As a leading figure in etail fulfilment logistics and returns management, Murphy said the event showcased the current strength of the logistics and supply chain industry, which is crucial to how Trojan operates as a business.
“IMHX is always a great event and it was encouraging to see so many exhibitors and professionals from the sector showing their most up-to-date products and services. I was particularly impressed with the new skills and apprenticeship zone, highlighting the careers available to young people in Britain’s logistics sector. This is something we are passionate about at Trojan, as young people are the future of business and so should be supported and encouraged to seek vocational work.
“Logistics outsourcing is an important strategic option for companies. It’s a very competitive industry and is rapidly changing, so requires widespread warehousing and logistics services to cater to its needs. Trojan’s supply chain strategy and efficiency are critical to ensure we maintain our competitive advantage. The show allowed me to learn more from other leaders of the logistics and supply chain services. IMHX was certainly worth our while, as we never stop learning.”
