Trojan’s etail implementations manager, Beverley Spear, completed the Swansea Bay 10k on Sunday (18 September) to raise money for Macmillan cancer support.
Beverley finished the run in just under 1 hour 30 minutes and has so far raised over £400 for the charity.
“I hadn’t run before this year and had only completed 5k when I signed up for the 10k race. I slowly extended my running and had managed to complete one 10k run the week before the event, so I knew I could do it and that is not something I would have caught myself saying earlier this year.
“I want to thank everyone at Trojan for their support and generous donations to an amazing charity.”
Clive Murphy, Trojan’s managing director, added:
“We are really proud of Bev for taking on this challenge and showing her support for a very important charity. We congratulate her on this great achievement and look forward to the team getting behind her once again when she takes part in the event next year.”
Beverley intends to continue with her running and aims to complete next year’s 10k run in less than one hour.
